If the focus area of my program is outside the Hollywood Casino Toledo focus areas, will my application still be considered?

Yes. We encourage funding requests that align with the areas of focus. However, funding requests for programs that work toward strengthening the local community will also be considered.

If my organization has received funding through the Penn National Foundation program, can I still apply for funding?

Yes. Organizations are eligible for consideration through local Penn National programs at the same time.

Can I receive funding more than once per funding cycle?

No. Once you have received funding from Hollywood Casino Community Giving for this program, you are not eligible to reapply until the next fiscal year. The 2016 fiscal year begins Jan. 1, 2016 and ends Dec. 31, 2016. Please note that the application deadline is Nov. 30, 2016.

Why are schools excluded from this program?

Funding provided by Tax dollars.

Why are ProMedica, Susan G Komen, Toledo Zoo & Aquarium, Boys and Girls Club of Toledo, Destination Toledo, and the Toledo Area Chamber of Commerce excluded from this program?

The Hollywood Casino partners with these organizations in other ways and supports local programming through associate and customer fundraising or associate volunteerism.

Can an organization request a product donation or gift card instead of funding through the Community Giving Program?

Yes. Requests for in-kind donations (product and gift cards) can be made through the Giving Process.

How will I know if I have been selected to receive funding from this program?

You will receive an e-mail notification once funding decisions have been made. The community giving manager may set the frequency and process in which application determinations are made.

If selected for funding, how do I receive my funds or in-kind gift?

If approved, checks will be mailed directly to the recipient organization at the address listed in the application. Please allow 2 to 4 weeks for delivery.

Who can I contact if I have questions about the status of my request?

If you have not been contacted after 90 days and have met the submission due date, please contact us at Hollywood.Gives@pngaming.com regarding your request.
