TEXAS HOLD'em Instructions
How to Play
Each player is dealt two cards face down. Five cards are then dealt up in the center of the table as “Board Cards”. After betting, players may use any combination of their two “hole” cards, and the five board cards to make the best five card poker hand.
Betting Basics
The player closest to the left of the dealer button will post a “small blind”. The player seated to the left of the “small blind” will post a “large blind”. After the first two hole cards are dealt, players may call the blind-bet, raise, or fold. This betting round is followed by three (3) cards being dealt face-up, referred to as the “flop”. After betting on the flop, two (2) additional cards are then turned face-up, one at a time, with each one followed by a betting round.
Tournament
Each player receives the same amount in tournament chips. Tournament play is structured to specific limits increased at specific time intervals. When players are eliminated from tables, the remaining players are then consolidated and play continues until one player has all the chips
