How To Play Table Games

HOW TO PLAY:

The object of Blackjack is to attempt to reach a point total of 21 or as close to 21 as possible without going over.  Hands that are closer to 21 than the Dealer win.  Hands that are not, or hands that have a point total exceeding 21, lose.  Cards from 2 through 10 have their face values.  Jacks, Queens, and Kings have a face value of 10.  Aces are valued at 1 or 11.
A Blackjack is when your first two cards are an Ace and a 10-value card.  This pays 3 to 2.  After all players have made a bet in the circle in front of them, the Dealer deals two cards in sequence to each player and the Dealer.  The Dealer will turn their first card face up, and their second card face down.
At this time, if you feel the total of your first two cards can beat the Dealer, you “stand” – you do not draw additional cards.  This decision is indicated by a wave of your hand, palm down, over the table.  If you feel the Dealer has cards that beat your total, you indicate your decision to “hit” – you want to draw additional cards.  This is done by tapping your index finger on the table.  After each additional card, you need to indicate your decision to stand or draw another card to the Dealer.
After all the players have completed their hands, the Dealer’s hole card is exposed.  The Dealer will either stand on a soft 17 or draw on a soft 17.  Each layout will designate which style game is being dealt, and you can always ask the Dealer.  If the Dealer’s total is less than yours, or if the Dealer exceeds a point count of 21, you win even money!  If your point count is equal to the Dealer, it is a “push” and you do not win or lose.  If the Dealer’s total is more than yours, but does not exceed 21, your bet will lose.
Along with having the options to stand or draw after the first two cards, you may also double down, split pairs, or take insurance.

DOUBLE DOWN:

You may double down on any 2 cards except for a point count of 21.  This is done by placing an additional wager (up to the total amount of your initial bet) next to your original bet and holding your index finger out over the bet.  You will receive only one additional card when you double down.

SPLITTING PAIRS:

If your first two cards are a pair, you may split them into 2 hands by placing an equal amount next to the original bet and signaling a split with your first 2 fingers over the bet.  If the next card drawn also makes a pair, you may split again.  You can split up to 3 times for a total of 4 hands.  You are allowed to split Aces only one time (unless designated at the table), and you will only receive one additional card.  A 10-value card on a split Ace counts as 21, but not a Blackjack.

INSURANCE:

If the Dealer’s up card is an Ace, you may make an additional wager betting that the Dealer has Blackjack.  Insurance bets are made by placing up to half your original bet on the insurance line, prior to the Dealer checking their hole card.  If the Dealer has Blackjack, the insurance bet will be paid 2 to 1, and your original wager will lose.

BET THE SET:

If the players first two cards are a “Pair” or “Suited Pair” they win according to the pay table.

BLAZING 7’S PROGRESSIVE:

Blazing 7’s Progressive is an optional side bet for blackjack.  Players must make a standard blackjack bet in order to make a Blazing 7’s Progressive bet.  The Blazing 7’s Progressive considers the player’s initial two cards and the dealer’s face up card.

The player’s Blazing 7’s wager will win if the player has any 7’s in their initial two cards.  If the player has two 7’s in their hand and the dealer’s up card is also a 7, the player qualifies for one of the Three 7’s payouts.

After the dealer has completed the initial deal and revealed their up card, they may resolve the progressive wager immediately.  Winning wagers will be paid using the following pay table, which will be displayed at the game.

Progressive Winners:

The percentage pays are paid from the progressive jackpot shown on the progressive meter. Other hands are paid from the tray; they do not come off the meter.  After the dealers have completed the initial deal and revealed their up card, they may resolve the progressive wager immediately.

21 + 3 XTREME:

21+3 is an optional side bet for blackjack.  Players must make a standard blackjack bet to play this side bet prior to cards being dealt.  This side bet considers the player’s initial two cards and the dealer’s face up card.  When combined, if they make a Flush, Straight, Three of a Kind, or Straight Flush, the player will win the bet.  A player will only be paid on the highest type of hand, even though their 3-card hand may contain more than 1 winning event (ex: three of a kind suited).

FREEBET BLACKJACK

FreeBet Blackjack is a variation of the standard blackjack game.  FreeBet Blackjack follows the same basic rules of standard blackjack, with the following features:

  • “Free” double-downs on the first two cards totaling a hard 9, 10, or 11
  • “Free” splits on all pairs except 10 values (10, J, Q, K)
  • “Free” double-downs are allowed after a split, as long as the total is hard 9, 10, or 11
  • “Free” re-splits are allowed up to 4 hands
  • Dealer pushes all hands on 22

Players may split 10 values if they wish, however they must place their own money next to their bet to do so.  Players may also double down on anything they wish but must put their own money up for a double down if it is not a hard 9, 10, or 11.

All “Free” bets are signified by a gold coin that the Dealer places next to the original bet and is equal in value to the original bet.  Players may lose their original bet and win on a gold coin, which will still pay the value of the original bet.

Insurance is available on this game and is handled exactly like the standard blackjack game.

PUSH 22

If the dealer at the conclusion of the hand busts to an exact score of 22, all players who wagered the bet at the beginning of the hand will win.

The person whose turn it is to roll the dice is the “shooter”.  The results of the shooter’s rolls will determine the outcome for all players who bet either with them or against them.  On the shooter’s first roll, or come out roll, players wager by placing chips on either the PASS or DON’T PASS line.  By betting on the PASS line, you’re wagering that the shooter will win.  If you bet on the DON’T PASS line, you’re wagering the shooter will lose.

If the shooter rolls a 7 or 11 on the come out roll, a PASS line bet wins.  If a 2, 3, or 12 is thrown, a PASS line bet will lose.  Conversely, if the shooter throws a 2 or 3, a DON’T PASS bet wins.  If a 7 or 11 is thrown, a DON’T PASS bet loses.  If a 12 is thrown, the DON’T PASS bet is a push.

If a 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, or 10 is rolled, that number becomes the ‘point’ and is marked on the betting layout with a puck.  The shooter must now try to ‘make the point’ aka re-roll the point number to win.  If the shooter rolls the point again before rolling a 7, bets on the PASS line win, while DON’T PASS bets lose.  The same shooter will continue rolling.

A roll of 7 after the point has been established means all PASS line bets lose, while DON’T PASS bets win.  This will complete the shooter’s turn and move to the next shooter.

PASS LINE/ DON’T PASS LINE ODDS

If a player has a bet on the PASS line, they are eligible to make an additional bet known as odds.  Players put the odds down themselves and can pick them up at any point.  The odds are placed behind the PASS line bet.  They payouts are as follows:

OTHER CRAPS BETS AVAILABLE

Place Bets:  A bet that the shooter will roll a specific number – either a 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, or 10 – before they throw a 7.  The payouts are as follows:

Come Bet: A player can place a Come Bet any point after the come out roll.  When a number rolls, the come bet will travel to that number and may have odds placed on top of it.  If the travelled bet wins, the odds pay like Pass Line odds.  If a 7 out happens, all come bets and odds lose that are already on a number.  If there is a come bet that hasn’t traveled, it will win on a 7 out.

Put Bets: The player can place a Put Bet at any time before or after the come out roll.  A Put Bet can be placed directly on a number with odds, and a player will win if that number is rolled.  If a 7 rolls before the selected number, the wager loses.

Any Craps: Bets placed on the “Any Craps” section of the layout (which covers 2, 3, and 12) pay 7 to 1.  Bets placed on 3 or 11 pay 15 to 1, 2 or 12 pay 30 to 1, and any 7 pays 4 to 1. (One roll only)

Hard Way Bets: wagers that the shooter will throw a specific number (4, 6, 8, or 10) the ‘hardway’ (rolling a pair of 2s, 3s, 4s, or 5s) before they roll a different combination of that number, or before they roll a 7.  Hardway 6 and 8 pays 9 to 1, and Hardway 4 and 10 pay 7 to 1.

Big 6 and Big 8: To bet that the shooter will roll a 6 or 8 before a 7, place your wager on the ‘Big 6’ or ‘Big 8’ sections in the corner of the table.  They pay even money.

Field Bet:  To bet that a 2, 3, 4, 9, 10, 11, or 12 is rolled next, place your money in the ‘Field’.  If any of the above numbers are rolled except 2 or 12, you win even money.  A 2 pays double and a 12 pays triple. (One roll only)

World Bet:  A combination of prop bets that consist of 2, 3, 11, 12, and any 7.  It is a bet that covers the ‘Horn’ and ‘Any 7’ in five equal amounts. (One roll only)

Horn High:  A bet that covers the horn but has twice as much money on one of the numbers as the other three. (One roll only)

Hop Bet:  A bet for a specific combination of the dice.  A Hardway Hop bet pays 30 to 1, while an Easy Hop pays 15 to 1. (One roll only)

BONUS CRAPS BET:

Bonus Craps is a set of 3 additional prop bets.  They must be bet at the beginning of a shooter’s roll.  If any 7 is rolled, even on the come out, the bets lose and will need to be reset before starting the roll again.

ALL SMALL:      Roll all small numbers (2, 3, 4, 5, 6) before rolling a 7 and win!

ALL TALL:         Roll all tall numbers (8, 9, 10, 11, 12) before rolling a 7 and win!

MAKE’EM ALL: All the numbers must be rolled before a 7 to win!

Craps Free Craps is a version of a standard dice game without the possibility of losing the PASS line bet on the come out roll.  It is played the same as regular craps, except there are 10 possible point numbers (2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, 10, 11, and 12).  If a 7 is rolled on the come out roll, the PASS lines win.  If any other number is rolled on the come out roll, that number becomes the point and must be rolled again for the PASS line to win. Since 2, 3, 11, and 12 can now become points, there are additional odds available to the player.

Roulette is easy to play with a wide variety of bets and betting combinations.  There are 36 numbers, alternately colored red and black as well as a 0 and 00 which are green.  The winning wager is decided by the random selection of one number out of the possible 38.  This selection happens by spinning a ball in the opposite direction of a turning wheel.

Each spin of the ball is a new game.  Players buy-in for various colored chips to differentiate between players.  When you are finished playing, you return your colored chips to the dealer for regular casino value chips.  The colored or “non-value” chips have no value once they leave a table, so be sure to turn them in before leaving the game.

Bets can be placed until the dealer says, “no more bets.”  Once the ball drops into the winning number, the dealer will mark the number on the layout.  All losing bets will be collected, then the winning bets will be paid according to the odds.  You are responsible for the correct position of your bet on the layout.  There are two basic areas to wager on the roulette table: inside bets and outside bets.

INSIDE BETS:

These are placed on a specific number or combination of numbers.  The total value of inside bets must meet the posted table minimum amount and cannot exceed the maximum.

Straight Up: a bet on one number

Split: a bet between two numbers

Street: a bet that covers three numbers in a row

Corner: a bet touching four numbers

Top Line: a bet that covers the first five numbers being 0, 00, 1, 2, 3

Line: a bet that covers any one of six numbers contained in two contiguous rows of numbers

OUTSIDE BETS:

These are placed on red or black, even or odd, 1-18, 19-36, the first, second, or third dozen numbers and the first, second, or third columns.  Each bet must meet the posted table minimum and cannot exceed table maximum.

Mini Baccarat is an elegant, simple game to play.  There are only two decisions you have to make: How much you want to bet, and whether to bet on Player or Banker.   The casino will collect 5% commission on any money won on the Banker.

Mini Baccarat is played with 8 decks of cards.  Any card from 2 to 9 is its face value.  Ace equals one, all 10s and face cards have a value of 0.  When the total exceeds nine, the first digit is dropped, because all hands must be a single-digit number from 0 to 9.

The game begins when four cards are dealt alternately from the shoe: first to Player, second to Banker, third to Player, and fourth to Banker.  If the point count of either hand is 8 or 9, it is called a Natural, and no additional cards are drawn.  The cards are dealt according to set rules. The dealer announces the point count of the Player’s hand and Banker’s hand, and the dealer will draw additional cards when appropriate.  All bets must be placed before the dealer calls “no more bets.”  The hand closest to 9 wins.
Bankers Rules:

When the Players stand on 6 or 7, the Banker will always draw on totals of 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5.  The Banker will stand on 6, 7, 8, and 9.  When the Player does not have a ‘Natural’ the Banker shall always draw on the totals of 0, 1, or 2, and then observe the following rules:

Banker’s first two card total

Banker draws when the player’s third card is

Banker does not draw when the player’s third card is

Tie Bet:

An additional bet you may make is a Tie Bet (the two hands will end with equal totals).  A winning Tie pays 8 to 1, and neither the Player or Banker hand will lose.

Dragon Bonus:

Players have two ways to win this bet: when their selected hand for the Dragon Bonus wager is a Natural winner, or when their selected hand wins by 4 or more points.  With non-natural winners, the larger the spread, the larger the payout.  Dragon bets must be placed before cards are dealt.  Natural winners pay even money on the Dragon bonus.  In the event of a natural tie, the Dragon bets push.  In the event of a non-natural tie, the Dragon bet loses.

Players receive five cards and need to make their best four-card hand.  Players must make equal bets on the Ante and Super Bonus spots.  After seeing the cards, players may bet or fold their hand.  If a player wishes to bet, they can put an amount equal to the ante bet on the Play circle.  If the player has a pair of Aces or higher, they can triple their Play bet.  The Dealer qualifies with a King high.

If the player beat the Dealer’s qualifying hand, the Ante and Play bets win even money.  If the Dealer qualifies and beats the player’s hand, the Ante and Play bets lose.  If the Dealer does not qualify, the Ante is pushed, and the Play automatically wins.  Super Bonus and Queens Up are resolved as normal.

Super Bonus:

The Super Bonus wins when the player has a straight or better, even if the dealer beats the player’s hand.  The Super Bonus pushes if the player has less than a straight but the hand still beats the dealer.  The Super Bonus will lose if the player does not have a straight or better and the dealer has a better hand.

Queens Up:

The Queens Up bet wins if the player has a pair of Queens or higher in their hand and is paid regardless of the dealer’s hand.

Progressive Bet:

A $1 optional bet.  All five cards combined determine the progressive wager outcome.  The only hand that does not use all five cards that will win on the progressive is Three of a Kind.  The Progressive also has a Progressive Envy available to those who also played the wager.

Mississippi Stud is a 5-card poker game where each player gets two cards, and three community cards are placed on the table.  Players are not playing against themselves or the dealer, they are only trying to make a 5-card hand.  To receive cards, players must bet the Ante.  The dealer will place three community cards face down on the table before dealing cards to the players.  At this point, players may either fold or bet 1x to 3x their Ante on the 3rd street.  The dealer will then reveal the 3rd street community card.  Once players see the first community card, they may bet 1x to 3x the Ante or fold.  The dealer will then reveal the 4th street community card.  Players have the final option to fold or bet 1x to 3x the Ante to see the 5th street community card. Once all community cards are flipped, the dealer will resolve all hands left in play.  A pair of 6s to 10s pushes and any higher hands pay based on the pay table.

3 Card Bonus:

This is a bonus bet that must be made prior to cards being dealt.  It is based solely on the three community cards and whether they make a poker hand.

 Progressive Bonus:

A $1 optional bet.  All five cards combined determine the progressive wager outcome.  The only hand that does not use all five cards that will win on the progressive is Three of a Kind.  The Progressive also has a Progressive Envy available to those who also played the wager.

Each player plays against the dealer.  The object is to have more cards of the suit (a flush) than the dealer, regardless of suit. In the event both the dealer and player have the same number of cards in their flush, the winning hand is determined by the highest ranking card of the flush.  If the highest ranking card is the same, the next highest card will come into play.  If both the player and dealer have a tie, both the Ante and Play will push.

Players place an Ante bet and receive seven cards.  After examining the cards, each player may bet the Play or fold the hand.  The Play bet must equal the Ante unless the player has 5 or more cards in their flush.  A player with 5 cards may 2x their Ante bet, and if they have 6 or 7 cards in the flush, they may 3x the Ante bet.

The dealer qualifies with a 3-card 9 high flush.  If the dealer does not qualify, the Play bets will push, and all Ante bets will get paid even money.

Flush Bonus:

This optional bet is placed prior to cards being dealt.  It is based solely on how many cards in a flush the player has in their hand.

Straight Flush Bonus:

This optional bet is placed prior to cards being dealt.  It is based on whether or not the player has a straight flush in their hand.  Players may tuck cards under the Straight Flush bet if they have a low hand but still have a straight flush they want to play.  If the player folds in this manner, any other placed bets will be collected.  Players may also tuck a small Straight Flush hand under this bet and still play the main hand with different cards.
*Hollywood Casino Toledo will utilize an aggregate maximum payout of $25,000.

This is a poker variation where the players receive two cards, the dealer receives two cards, and there are five community cards to use as well.  The player is trying to use 5 out of the 7 available cards to beat the dealer’s hand.  Players must place equal wagers on the Ante and Blind bets before receiving cards.  There is also an optional Trips bet as well as a Progressive bet.  Before any community cards are flipped, players may look at their two cards and decided if they wish to bet 3x or 4x their Ante or check.  Once the dealer flips the first three community cards, players may bet 2x their Ante or check.  Once the dealer flips over the final two community cards, players must either bet 1x their Ante or fold.  After all players have finalized their bets, the dealer will flip their cards.  The dealer qualifies with a pair or better.  If the dealer does not qualify, all Ante bets push.  A player must still beat the dealer in order to get paid on the Play.

If the dealer qualifies, the player must beat the dealer’s hand to get paid on the Ante and Play.  The Blind bet gets paid if the player wins the hand and they have a straight or better in their hand.  The blind will lose if the dealer beats the player, and it will push if the player beats the dealer but does not have a straight or better.

The Trips bet is based only on the player’s hand, and will win if the player has trips or better.

The Progressive bet is a $1 optional bet.  All five cards combined determine the progressive wager outcome.  The only hand that does not use all five cards that will win on the progressive is Three of a Kind.  The Progressive also has a Progressive Envy available to those who also played the wager.

Players are betting on two different hands in this game.  There is an Across hand and a Down hand.  Players must put equal wagers on both the Ante spots for the Across and Down.  The Dealer will place five community cards face down in the middle of the table and then deal each player two cards.  Players may look at their two cards and decide if they wish to bet the Across Bet or fold.  They can bet 1x to 3x their Ante bet.  The dealer will then flip the two Across cards.  Players may then bet the Down Bet or fold.  They can bet 1x to 3x their Ante bet.  The dealer will then flip the two Down cards.  Players must now decide if they wish to bet the Middle Bet 1x to 3x their Ante, or fold.  The dealer will then flip over the final Middle card.

The dealer will check the player’s cards to see if they have made a 5-card hand Across, Down or both.  A pair of 6s to 10s will push, and Jacks or higher start to pay out.  If the player has less than a pair of 6s, the bets will lose.  On any winning hand, the Ante will always pay 1 to 1, and the Across Bet or Down Bet will pay based on the hand each direction. The Middle Bet will get paid based on the better of the Across or Down hands.

There is an optional 5 Card Bonus bet on this game.  It is based solely on the 5 community cards that are flipped over.  If a player folds their hand at any point, they may tuck their cards under the 5 Card Bonus (if they are playing it), which is still eligible to win.
